Before Sept 5th's meeting of the Southold Town Planning Board, the planning staff sent a letter to Strong's Marine informing them that their revised site plan was incomplete. At the public meeting, the Board said it would not evaluate the plan until the application was complete.
The next Planning Board meeting is Oct 7.
On June 20, 2024, the Suffolk County Planning Commission disapproved the proposal.
On July 8, 2024, Southold Town Planning Department posted memo showing that the proposal is INCONSISTENT with the LWRP (link below)
On July 23, 2024, the Planning Board made available the revised plan which still calls for excavation of 70,000 cu yards of sand and one massive building at 65,100 sq ft.
